ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is important for this class. Three missed classes (either lab or lectures) will result in the reduction of your grade by one full letter grade. If you must miss this class please notify me by email; it is your responsibility to make up the work. Medical emergencies must be documented to be excused. Please check in with me at lecture so I can mark you as present. If you don't check in with me, I will mark you absent. Please note that all lecture notes will be posted on Blackboard so you can catch up on what you missed.
BLOG:
You will need to set up a blog on the Blogger platform (requires a Google account) or on Tumblr, where you will post all of your blog assignments for this class and all other class projects. Blog entries are due before class on the date indicated on the syllabus, unless otherwise noted. Late blogs will be accepted for reduced credit, and only if you email me to notify me.
Please email me a link to your blog by the end of the first lab. Your first blog entry ("Artist Statement") will be due next week.
MEDIA HOSTING:
You will need to create a Vimeo or Youtube account to upload your video projects. You will need to create a Soundcloud account for your audio project. Please link to these projects or embed them onto your blog so that I may grade them and view them in class.
USB/EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE:
You will need a drive to store your projects files and edit your projects on. Once we begin shooting your first assignment, it is recommended that you bring this drive to every lab from then forward. Please keep at least 8 GB of free space on the drive at all times. If you are unsure what drive to purchase please come talk to me right after today's class.
